About the NCI Funded Research Portfolio Database Web Site The NCI Funded Research Portfolio database contains information about research grant and contract awards made by the National Cancer Institute. It includes awards for the current and past nine fiscal years. The Web site provides the ability to search the database in various ways including a text search of the project abstract and a search of the Special Interest Category (SIC) and anatomic site codes assigned to the project.
